As I was doing some reading I ran across some amazing insights in Jack Canfield's "Success Principles". I will summarize what I found most beneficial for me today-
Always dream big dreams, big dreams attract big people. One of the few differences between the super achievers of the world and the rest of the world is that super achievers dream bigger.
If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise.- Robert Fritz
You should create your future from your future, not from your past.
Share your vision- when you share your vision, some people will want to help you make it happen. Others will introduce you to others that can help you achieve your dreams. The more often you share your vision, the more real and attainable it seems. This also strengthens your subconscious belief you can achieve it.
Understanding that in order to achieve it, you must believe in it yourself. You have to believe that what you want is possible and you are deserving.
You will get what you expect. Our brain is capable of delivering anything we choose to us. Our brain also learns what to expect in situations based on previous conditions- what we end up living is a series of self-fulfilling prophecies. This is why it is so important to hold positive expectations in your mind . When we replace your old negative expectations with more positive ones, when you begin to believe that what you want is possible, your brain actually take over the job of accomplishing that possibility for you. Basically- "You gotta believe!"
Most people don't fail because they are lacking in skills or ability to reach their goals but because they don't believe they can achieve it.
I will close with one of the most amazing things I have read in a long time- Max Lucado wrote "You weren't an accident. You weren't mass produced. You aren't an assembly-line product. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on the Earth by the Master Craftsman." Believing in yourself is a CHOICE. It is an attitude you develop over time.
